Úrsula Sánchez

Economic Opportunities Officer VIVE Project - Mexico

Úrsula Sánchez is responsible for the development of economic opportunities and fundraising procurement for the VIVE Project. She has more than ten years of experience in the design, implementation and evaluation of public policies and programs related to human rights, open government, innovation, electoral training and civic education.

Prior to this position, she worked as Head of Division of Equality Mainstreaming at the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS), where she promoted and coordinated actions to mainstream equality, non-discrimination and gender perspective in social security and health services and procedures, including attention of women victims of violence against women.

Ursula holds a Master´s Degree in Public Administration from the School of Public Policy at the Central European University in Budapest, Hungary, with concentration in Human Security and Sustainable Development. She earned a B.A. in Political Science and a specialization in Gender Relations from the National University Autonomous of Mexico.
