Luis Enrique Garcia, a Bolivian economist, concluded his fifth term (25 years) as Executive President and CEO of CAF - Development Bank of Latin America on March 31, 2017. He also served as Governor at the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and FONPLATA. He also was a member and Chairman of CAF’s Board of Directors and member of the Development Committee of the World Bank and the IMF representing Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay, Peru, and Uruguay. He is currently the President of the Board of the Council of Foreign Relations of Latin America and the Caribbean (RIAL) succeeding former President of Chile Ricardo Lagos in this position. He was elected Chairman of the Board of the Trust for the Americas in 2018.
