Piloting the Code Caribbean Program in Belize
Belize was selected for the regional initiative Code Caribbean: Promoting STEAM for Innovation in the Caribbean, which will train educators in computational sciences and socio-emotional skills to foster innovation. The project includes a pilot program to align education with job opportunities, strengthen links between the Ministry of Education and the private sector, and develop a national plan with the support of Code.org. It aims to prepare young people aged 8 to 13 in STEAM, improving their employability and continuous education.
