In this era of intense globalization, companies both large and small must adjust the way they do business in order to compete in a more integrated market. It is the small and medium enterprises, the backbone of any strong economy, that stand to be most impacted by increased trade and market integration. Governments and civil society must work together to develop realistic plans that will build the capacity of small and medium enterprises to compete both domestically and abroad. In partnership with the OAS Office for Trade, Growth and Competitiveness, our programs bring government and civil society together to set out realistic and attainable goals for policy changes that will help small business prepare and thrive in this new economic model.
