POETA (16 countries, 2004 - Present) Partnership in Opportunities for Employment through Technology in the Americas A Microsoft Signature Program In the spring of 2005 we launched a hemispheric partnership with Microsoft through its Unlimited Potential Program to launch technology, job training and placement centers for marginalized persons throughout Latin America. We believe this partnership between the Trust and Microsoft will have a long lasting impact on the communities they serve and we hope to have at least one POETA center in every country in the hemisphere by 2010.

Seeds of a Civil Life (Colombia, 2006) A Philip Morris Colombia Signature Program
Through this program, The Trust will work with recently demobilized rank and file rebel soldiers in the city of Bogota, Colombia, to acclimate them to civil life through programs and activities that re-acquaint them with civil society and the arts. With support from professional counselors, participants engage in cultural activities, including musical concerts, art exhibitions and other activities that serve to channel the emotions and proclivities built up during years of violent conflict.
At-Risk Youth Health Awareness Campaign (Mexico, 2003) A Merck Signature Program
In 2003, with funding from Merck and support from the Mexican government, we executed a Community Radio Awareness Campaign aimed at at-risk youth and the indigenous on issues related to crime, drug prevention, and HIV/AIDS awareness. Our program received “significant mention” in the 2004 worldwide United Nations Report on HIV/AIDS as an innovative public-private partnership.
