The Mi Llave program is carried out in partnership with Microsoft and the Alta Consejería para la Re-integración (ACR), a Colombian government agency in charge of the demobilization process. The program provides ICT training in a range of employable disciplines as well as job readiness and socio-cultural skills to demobilized combatants and members of the receiving communities in Colombia.
The program was established as a response to the current situation in the country and the needs of the population affected by the internal, armed conflict. In September 2007, centers were established in Valledupar and Montería. Local organizations help to provide the technology, job skills and conflict resolutions training which makes up the Mi Llave program. In 2008, the Trust partnered with ACR to open eight additional Mi Llave centers in communities affected by the internal conflict.
