| The Trust gives several awards each year to recognize the efforts of both individuals and organizations in contributing to development in the hemisphere. Foundations are no longer the sole actors in the field but companies, individuals and local organizations now actively support their communities. The Trust seeks to encourage and support these efforts by giving visibility to outstanding programs and work.
In addition, the Trust hosts an annual event each year in Washington, D.C. to raise awareness on the importance of our programs. During this event, the Trust presents its annual awards.
